General Information
The surrounding forest and river support a rich biodiversity, which we are aiming to protect as much as possible. Ticks are common in this environment, so we recommend checking your body regularly. Tick removal tools will be available in the care space.
Drinking water is provided through water tanks placed around the site, clearly marked for easy access. These tanks comply with regulations to ensure safe drinking water for everyone.
We have decided not to open the festival to dogs this year for the following reasons:
- To reduce the event’s impact on wild animals that inhabit the natural environment
- Lack of concrete solutions for managing dog-on-dog and human-on-dog interactions in terms of consent
- Presence of dog poop in the grass where people sit
N.B.: This decision does not apply to people who need their dog in order to attend the festival (assistance dog, psychological or emotional support, etc.)
If you share your life with a dog and it’s difficult for you to find someone to look after them for a weekend, send us an email at les deviantes@etik.com so we can think about a solution together 😉
It’s possible to come with children, but we’d like to be transparent about the fact that we haven’t (for the moment) planned to put anything in place to make it easier for children and parents to come. For this first edition of the Déviantes festival, the orga team didn’t feel able to offer a suitable space for children. As a result, we prefer to communicate the fact that the event will probably not be kid-friendly this year (even if a certain number of workshops and shows will undoubtedly be kid-friendly in the end…). It’s an issue close to our hearts, and if anyone would like to take the matter forward and set up a working group to propose something, we’d love to hear from you, and we’ll give you all the support we can.
A harm reduction team will be present 24/7, the nearest hospital is in Montluçon.
A care space will be set up on-site, open 24/7, with trained individuals available to assist if needed. Mobile care teams will walk around the site, easily identifiable by glow-in-the-dark bracelets. Any oppressive or inappropriate behavior will result in immediate action.
A quiet space will be available for those needing a break, isolation, or silence.
There is very little phone signal and no guaranteed internet access at the festival site.
